Engine Conversion Motor KM's

Post by Kitika »

G'day,
I'm looking at getting an LS1 to put in my 80 and have found one for $2500 with everything on it to run plus the holden gearbox. It's done 98,000kms tho. Is that to many K's on an engine for a engine conversion? Should I be looking at sub 50,000 ks? I can't hear running either which kind of pisses me off too cos it's on his workshop floor.

Nothing wrong with 98,000, mine was 160,000 and runs sweet as.

I would not like to be buying a motor I couldn't at least do a compression or leak down test on though.

Cheers
