engineering mods

Post by stumped »

i'm sure this has been covered before, but i can't be bothered searching, and i'm still bummed after talking to the engineer...

what's the story with getting bodylift engineered?? does anyone even bother? anyone get pinged for it? dude wants it tested both fully loaded and empty, front and rear brakes seperately, and i think indivividual wheels!!! how much is this gonna cost me on top of the engineering??????

when i asked him 'bout rockhoppers, he started rambling 'bout speedo calibration and stuff... what the???

sounds like i can't get my 15x8 rims with 31s done cos they're beyond the normal changes (1" width, 15mm height, something like that anyway)

i'm gonna go cry in the corner for a while now...

i wouldn't bother engineering a zook on 31s with body lift

rockhoppers and lockers are invisible anyway

Where abouts are you??
And which engineer did you talk to??
As for the rockhopper gears, they will change you speedo very slightly.not really that big a deal to worry about on the engineers report..

As jamie and nam said Stumped, These are pretty hidden mods to the average mech ,
You won;t get the 15 x8s engineered , but you can get 15x7s done
on a zook with stock diffs,
If you talk to one of the decent 4x shops in your area they will piont you to a reasnoble signatory . for your b/lift,
Look for a shop that does mods not just fits accesories.

may end up not engineering just cos it's too hard/expensive for something as simple and mild as what i'm doin to my zook. fairly hidden i guess, and if i get pinged i can pull the mods out (rockhoppers are a bit further down the track)...

PM on it's way jamie...
