Hello
Anyone replaced the pump in a vitara 1.6 gas tank for a better flowing one , say one from a 2.5 v6 or aftermarket one .
Thinking of using the factory tank in a project as I have one but need to have enough flow for about 200 hp . So would be nice if a v6 pump could bolt into a 1.6 tank etc as I don't need the extra capacity .
Otherwise anyone changed the pump itself in the tank for an aftermarket one .
Doubt the 1.6 pump is good for that much hp .
Cheers
Chris

Walbro GSS-342 is a nice fit into an EFI SWB 1.6 Vitara tank. As oozuk said its pretty much a bolt in, but not quite. The walbro is a little longer than the standard one that came out of my tank but a slight bend in the mount and a trim of the hose and it fits beautfiully.
I got the same pump as Oozuk but my power connector on the old pump was a stud and bolt style terminal rather than flat blade terminals but again it was a quick fix anyway to crimp on some new terminals.
