Finally well done to Ben and Brad on their first attempt in the big 100 series wagon, good effort made no easier by having to fit a new auto half way through the event.

Thursday
Today saw a single high speed drift event for the spectators, al cars raced in the same group then headed our to the 100 point Nav stage.
Some cool action for the spectators with the high horsepower cars being pretty cool to watch.
The spectators then either headed into town or went on a property tour taking in the spectacular country we are in. I chose to head into town as I did the property tour last year.
Di, myself and a Navi’s partner went around some of the opal shops in the dugouts and went to the White Cliffs Grave Yard.
The White Cliffs grave yard is a VERY sobering place, with many unmarked graves from the early 1900’s many infants and children are buried there. I think the plaque says it best.
After having a look, we then headed into the Café for Steak and Chips and across the road for a cleansing ale to wash down the dust.
After the larger group of us had left the pub I asked the Publican if what we had just thrown down our necks was a typical Saturday or Sunday trade, he paused thought then laughed and said it wasn’t typical of anything, but he certainly appreciated the business. We promised to descend upon him to drink the pub dry again about the same time next year.

CLIFFHANGER DAY!
Today is a big day of racing, with 3 Special stages.
The Diamond, the River run then the Cliffhanger.
The Diamond is a high speed run basically two triangles together.
Again the high power cars were the ones to beat, but the diesel boys definitely put on a show trying to keep as much speed as possible.
Team AVA has become a crowd favourite, despite not having had the best luck and currently running at the back of the pack due to numerous bugs, people love seeing the 500 ci supercharged monster unleashed, each time the anticipation of a good run is there. After sorting osme electrical issues, he managed to still start this event despite not starting in order, he copped a penalty but I think by this stage he is happy to just unleash the best. The two supercharged cars running on after the other was pretty cool to see.
The River Run is 2, 3 or 4 abreast down the river, a speed stage again. Great to watch. Unfortunately there was a accident, but I believe no serious injuries.
Then the Cliffhanger, I don’t’ think you can appreciate the Cliffhanger without seeing it, a 4m vertical face a slot barely wide enough to fit the car to get up.
The pace at which these guys work and get up is awesome.
Again the cliffhanger didn’t disappoint the spectators with CV’s, winches, ground anchors and winch ropes all showing how hard these guys are pushing to try and win this stage.
The rest here for now

Something witty said by someone famous
Wow what a week! Got the boys back this afternoon and the rest of the crew are on the road home with the cars.Firstly big congrats to greg and griffo. The win was won with style and like everyone they had thair share of bad luck, loosing steering and tripping right in front of the boss (missus) comes to mind. At least she had the camera.Russ and Pete were on fire and pushed the new motor in the arb rocky truck to it`s limit (running Old man emu shocks).Dukesy and the ferrit had a great run antil unfortunatly rolling on the last stage.Rob Marshal and Prawn, the random units thay are, were awsome entertainment in the silver gu built by brent at Wizzard Performance. With no time to test the truck they pluged away trying to get the car to run properly and got through the week, sometimes getting towed back to camp and sometimes blazing through a stage within the top 10.Team Asassin had bad luck with a slipping clutch and Ian did a great job nursing it through the last two days.speaking for The Rocky saftey team,we had a ball and enjoyed the format of the comp and look forward to next year.We could be found Lighting camp fires at every stage trying not to freeze the pills off and offering constructive critasisum to the boys.HAD A BALL. Sorry for the bad spelling, me need sleep.

Hi everyone
Awesome week, I am totally shagged, just getting home. So glad we finished and did everystage. Was a long week, fantastic stages and was really great to catch up with everyone and meet new friends. I hope everyone gets home safey. Now its time to write a list on the repairs and figure out what to fix first. It was a realy full on comp. Congrats to Steve and Rudi and the marshalls for the competition and setting the stages. Some really challenging stages, especially without the front locker since monday. Thanks to Kev and Mary and their crew for the awesome food and looking after us. A special thanks to the property onwner who is not well, it was great to catch up with his brother and his son.

Sitting in an internet cafe in Como, Italy and viewed all the photos and results. Well done to all who put up the photos. Thanks to Rudie for keeping us informed being so far away. Congratulations to the winners and all who competed, just being there and starting is a big effort, I know I have been there four times. Well done to Hobzee and Rudi for putting on the Cliffhanger and I look forward to next year.
Congratulations to the SA entries in Triple AAA racing Brenton and Paul and Team Sauage Paul and Jay. Proud of your efforts.

Wow, what a week guys!!,
As most of you have seen and read I only had the chance to get out to a few stages, when I wasn't working in the kitchen. Heres a littlle bit of a wrap up of a few of the high lights of my week.
The mud!! how awesome was the mud??
Seeing the vehicles working at this creek exit was great, although at time we got showered with chunks of mud it was great.
Then we got wo spend a bit of time at this mud hole ( we didn't see the first cars) but seing greg scanlon go so close to driving what every one else was really struggling to get through was a pretty good moment, event though he nearly got a tree in proscess.
Mud anyone??
The flat track, It's a shame we didn't get to see Brian (property owner) rip it up the boys running the 2nd fastest time in his 2wd ute. But it was great to see some of the boy pushing really hard.
The creek run, this is what happens if you dant see a low hanging branch in time, the Navi was very lucky not to have been injured worse in this accident.
The winch wall, The local boys (outback lads) making their way without a working winch, Go you good thing!!! and Team madagar, wholey crap boys, drew the highest part of the wall yet still did it with ease, very impressive!!
THANKYOU FOR AN AWESOME WEEK GUYS!
