Ring Holden
They were great with details of my old GTR LJ
Took maybe 2 weeks to get back to me but you get that when your car was produced when they were still using microfish ;)

not sure if it matters that much.
when we did the 7 we had to prove its from car built between x.....x its for emmissions and the emmissions are the same for a few years of the motors life generally. the car had to meet emmission code x at the time.

"The only thing to watch out with the engine would be a requirement that the engine should comply to the same or later emission standard. This means that the replacement engine must come from the same year or a later model vehicle"

The engine(i have been told) is a VP motor(ran to 93) and the hilux may be a 93 model( not yet purchased) but the engine number prefix states that it is a standard (no mods HSV etc) motor from a VN -VS

as all 5.0l engines in standard trim are essentialy the same as long as i use the later emissions standards and equipment (evap, cats, charcoal canisters etc)
i should be pretty good right?
