GU Questions

Post by Best1 »

Just updated the SWB GQ to a GU wagon, about to start to build it up and have a couple of questions hoping someone might be able to answer.

Chasing a winch bar ofr the front, will a ute bar fit on a wagon or are chassis width/mounts too different?

Car already has a small lift but not sure how far above standard it is, hoping a four inch lift and 33's will not prevent the missus from entering the local Coles carpark, anyone got an idea how high a lift like this might make the roofline? Any advice appreciated thanks.

What is the clearance of the carpark?
33's with 2inch lift on mine barely fits in the local carpark, to the point, I duck.
33's fit piss easy on stock gu, nicely with 1inch, and 36's with 3inch.

ive got 3" lift in my GU and i fit 35's and 36"s with bump stop extentions.

4" and 33" is overkill , you will easily fit 33" with 2" lift

35" and 3" lift and mines still under 2.0m so it fits most carparks.

AFAIK ute and wagon bars are the same

Make sure the bar is airbag compatible if you wagon has airbags(insurance purposes), as some ute bars are not airbag compatible.
