do you know what the trim height should be for a swb vitara? dont know what im on about? you will! taking the body lift off? alters the trim height, makes it able to pass blue slip after 31-7-09.

I am confused as to your question too

It wont matter what your "trim " height is. If your Vit has a body lift and it is not on an engineers report just take it out, you wont be able to bluff your way through rego

ok my question is what should the trim height be ( the meshurement from wheel center to bottom of wheel arch). i need it because my vitara has been modified, body lift, springs, strut spacers , spring spacers and 31" tyres. as you know nsw rta have brought in new regulations, stating the maximum trim height as plus 50mm from standard. my vitara is a personal import from the uk and so is unregistered and will have to conform to the new regs. i am trying to work out what mods i can keep and which must go and still leave me under the new plus 50mm requirement, have asked rta for the measurement but they have sent the 4 door one. not trying to bluff my way through anything but am trying to follow the law to the letter, even if i dont like it. sorry if my last questions were a big vague and i hope this is more presice. all the best dave

Go here http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/pls/wwws ... ify_Search and select ALL for Status. You will only need to type in Suzuki and Vitara and you will find what you are after.

My guess is the NCOP will come in and you'll be allowed you bodylift, springs and 28 inch tyres. The new rules are a pain however it's pretty obvious once two inch bigger tyres are legal no one would get engineered just run bigger tryes and wing it with the suspension lift, I can see the RTA concerns and I'm pretty sure the current BS is just a bluff so we'll happly accept the NCOP, we've spent three years complaining about it but in another two weeks we'll be begging for it .
