body swap gq ute leaf chassis 2 coil wagon chassis

hi everyone,
i have a 1997 gq ute with full leaf chassis and i also have a gq mavrick wagon coil cab. there both diesel and are complete with motors right through to diffs etc. now i wanna no if i can swap the leaf body of my ute to the wagon chassis. cost dont matter as i will do it with mates that have good mechanical skills.

so i wanna here from people who have done this

yeh thanks for the pm. got front guards 2. i also no ill have to weld tray mounts on the coil wagon chassis also

Is your ute cab the wide guard model? If it isn't you will have to change the headlight mounts or support panel if you want to run the wide guards.

yeh so i have both complete trucks. so anything that needs swapping is there ready. i no the front guards needed chopping.

just want complete info as i only have week maybe 2 max to get it done. its my work ute

Yeah you have to cut the plate out for the front shocks, also need to change the steering column as the lower shaft is different lengths.

You will do it easy in that time frame, just label everything. It makes a huge difference when assembling. For the smaller bolts and screws, get a piece of cardboard and push screw etc through and write what they are.

And less beer at the start makes for faster assembly :D

sweet as. yeh will be starting early morning each day so beer wont come till prob 11am :lol:
