O-ringing the block is for serious amounts of pressures, a set of good arp headstuds and a good steel gasket will be more than sufficient.
Copper is another option, different people will tell you different things as far as gaskets go, some people "say" copper is not as viable for street use as it reacts differently to the heating and cooling cycles of a daily driven motor.
What do you plan on taking the boost to and what are your power goals, the oem stuff might be good enough to keep the truck reliable.

O-ringing the block is an engine out and full strip down job as it requires the block to be decked and then small grooves machined into the block around each bore. Then lengths of like piano wire cut and filed to fit into the groves. Annealed copper head gasket is used. 1FZ-FE uses a steel head gasket anyway and unless you are running very high boost should be sufficient.

more boost
im running 9 psi.
was thinking 13-15 psi just that bit more,
not for city use only to get me to
the high country and the servo
only does 10000km a year so how often
do you have to adjust copper gaskets

no need to do any mods to engine as i have had a few petrol 80s and 75s and all of them i have turboed and put between 12 -22 psi and no drama even long term 14-18 psi they can handle about 380 hp standrd form with just a turbo and ecu i race a petrol 75 with turbo and ecu running around the 350hp at the wheels and no engine mods and it has been going for about 4 years now with no drama

Safari front mount will remove the most heat from the intake.
My old motor which ran 10 psi boost was upped to 20 psi boost with factory head gasket.
I run 10 psi now in my current 80.
There are 3 different thickness head gaskets available to decompress, as detonation will become an issue, and you will kill the spark plugs and the knock sensors, making it go into "limp home" setting, if its not right.
