Hi guys i'm new to this this is my first post has any one heard of a place called Dragon Engineering in Murwillumbar who advertises to sell rebuilt 1hdt engines as i am looking at purchacing one

Hi, just became member and was wondering about your post re Dragon Engineering and the 1HDT rebuild. HOw did you go, did you get a motor and if so how is it?

Yeah didn't use that bloke i ended up using a local bloke @ Wallsend NSW still a few probs with too much smoke & oil leak but it's all under controll cost a bucket load of cash though as my motor must have had big probs before & assembled wrong with a circlip missing from each gudgeon pin which scored the bore beond rebore so 6 sleaves were neaded plus new head & injectors & pump work.

Thanks for the reply, was there anything in particular as to why you did not use Dragon Engineering? I did big end bearing in January and trying to judge how you perceived him.

No i just wanted to keep it local where i could see any xtra damage if needed which worked out. But talking to the bloke from Dragon over the phone he was very helpfull .
