Some bastard got into my soft top the other night and tried to take her for a joy ride. They failed to get the steering lock unengaged but did manage to rip off all my indicator and lighting stalks.
I've got a replacement stalk tree from Suzispares.

has anyone ever had to install one of these things.
It looks pretty straight forward, just a few plugs etc.
Do you need any special tools like a steering wheel puller?

You do need a steering wheel puller, I made my own using 3 assorted bolts with nuts and washes, and a flat piece of steel. first thing, is take off the battery negetive terminal; now the horn wont go off by accident . OK so pull the steering wheel, then I find you really have to pull the dash cluster out as well. You will have to take out the two large screws that hold the steering column up from underneath, they require one of the star screwdriver tools. Then take off the top and bottom halves around the steering column, held on by about 7 or 8 screws in the bottom, removing the top one requires the steering column to be pulled down on, hence the two star screws removed before. Then the part your replacing is held on by 4 screws, and those 2 plugs.
If its the first time your doing it, I'd allow at least an hour to pull down and re-assemble. shouldn't take much longer though.
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.
Don't really need a steering wheel puller, but I spose it might make it a little easier. Undo the nut the holds the steering wheel on, but don't take it off completely. Hit both sides of the steering wheel with your hands a few times to hopefully loosen it off the shaft. Plant both feet in the footwell and reef back on the steering wheel and it should come out. This is why you leave the nut on the shaft. If you remove the nut all the way and pull the steering wheel off, you are likely to wear it on your forehead. Was always fun telling the apprentices how to do this and forgetting to tell them not to take the nut off
