Had one in me 4runner, got around 7km/l at best, so around 14-16lts/100kms on average. Crap economy and crap power too

Pretty reliable motor but they are slow and love to drink the petrol.
Mine got arond 15lt/100kms and on gas it was about 20lt/100kms.

Went ok, and all Hilux's of that era are slow so dont worry about that.
You can always put EFI on it or convert it to the 3rz motor.
