Both standard vehicles would suggest standard class

So from what I read there, I can still run Basic Modified with my 75 series running 35's but I can't use my locker. The difference is in the Extreme Modified and Outlaw.
1. Standard Increase in tyre size only
2. Basic Modified 1 form of traction control ie locker. 35inch tyre are deemed a form of traction control
3. Extreme modified is for cars that are locked front and back tyre size to 35inch
4. Outlaw must have roll cage and window nets with helmets.
I think you got that quote back to front, nearly no one will run an open rear and a locker up front, thats asking for trouble for your front drive line.RED24 wrote:STOP THE TEARS!!!!!
I personally think the rules that stand are great.
if i were to use front locker as well as have rear lsd
then how fair is it to the bloke who has front locker AND OPEN REAR?
LSD, LOCKERS OPEN OR WELDED AT THE END OF THE DAY IT COMES DOWN TO DRIVE RIGHT CHOOSE THE RIGHT LINE FOR YOUR CAR
This is easilly one of the best comps going around rules are sweet just add the mod class for 35's and leave it
BUT IF YOU WANT TO RUN 2 FORMS OF TRACTION CONTROL IN THE JEEP I PERSONALLY DONT CARE (IT AINT GOING TO HELP THE JEEP!!!)
It is quite obvious the class caters for people that may not have looked at or known of lockers, open to a group of 4x4ers who dont want to spend massive amounts of money on lockers and lift.
to run 33's on most cars you will lift at least 2inch and most come standard lsd rear so basically you end up with slightly moded
which caters for people new to 4wding and people who have daily drivers or people who dont want to spend massive amounts of money .
Once again great comp, great rules, great park
keep it as is and support the rules rather then tearing up
make it easy for brendan and the other people behind the very fun event and park that they supply all us 4wheelers

Ahhh common Shane, how about i put my LSD rear back and run 35 against your Jeep and see how we go???Suspension Stuff wrote:If you have a Patrol or Jeep with no lockers but a decent limited slip quite often the next logical thing is to get a locker up front. You would be in the Extreme modified class. However if you fit the lockers but don't use them then you would be in basic modified except for the 4" lift.pootrollin wrote:Ahhh common Shane, how about i put my LSD rear back and run 35 against your Jeep and see how we go???Suspension Stuff wrote:If you have a Patrol or Jeep with no lockers but a decent limited slip quite often the next logical thing is to get a locker up front. Forgive me as I am slightly confused with your reply here. Are you saying that No2 which is basic modifed can only run 33's? Because what I quoted was a direct email from Scenic Rim with the 35's listed as being a form of traction control.timbotim1003 wrote:No 2 is 33s in Basic ModifiedDrift Technician wrote:Reply I received back from them today in regards to new classes:

The way I read it is if you have open centres and 35" tyres with a 3" lift or less then you are basic modified. If you have an LSD then you would be in extreme modified.Drift Technician wrote:Forgive me as I am slightly confused with your reply here. Dont get me wrong, I don't care what class I'm in, I'm coming to have a bit of fun and drive some stuff I haven't driven before and get a feel for comp style driving and what needs to be done. That and I like wearing a mullet

A locker in the front of the jeep will go better, in any truck, its been proven over and over.
Not that I care, but if I am running lockers front and rear and don't use them, then I would still be in Basic modified?Suspension Stuff wrote:The way I read it is if you have open centres and 35" tyres with a 3" lift or less then you are basic modified. I dont understand why anyone would run 35s with only a 3" lift, thats why I quoted 33s.Suspension Stuff wrote:The way I read it is if you have open centres and 35" tyres with a 3" lift or less then you are basic modified.
