turbo return issues

just wondering if any one has had isues using the vac pump as a return 1/8bspt is really small for a return in which the oil in is the same size under pressure. Mine seems to pressurerise to much and blows the oil out the exhaust so now ive got the sump off and am brazzing a fitting into it. just curious now to c if any one esle has had these issues i used a t peice not a y peice too.

Personally i've always used large sump drains, however plenty of people have used T-peices with high-mount setups. The more recent DIY conversions on OL, people have used Y-peices for obvious flow benefits.
I'm pretty sure one of the aftermarket turbo mobs actually supply plumbing to use the vac pump oil return line for the turbo as well.

No, thats for an oil feed. This may seem like a silly question but is your turbo a hi mount..
For a hi mount setup I had no problems using a t piece into the side of the block for oil return. It saved some effort but I still think the sump is a more elegant approach...

yeh its a high mount the turbos a t3 off a vl holden thats been hi flowed and ball bearing internals, i was told by a few performance shops that the return should be near double the intake... but yeh my old nissan had a hight mount dts kit and it had no problem returning into the vac pump.
