hi guys im looking at buying a maverick 89 model 4.2 diesel its done 380k and has service history just wondering how many kms to expect before it needs a rebuild wat is the best way to check a diesel engine as never had one last car was a fj45 with a 350 chev

so long as its been looked after it will go for ever, take a good look at it, drive it and quiz him alot on servicing of the engine.

if he sounds genuine, and servicing was done reg. then it should be ok

If its been looked after, IE. 5k oil changes, glow plugs, injectors etc replaced when nessacry should go till 500k, if it hasn't been looked after lookout!!! ;)
