Offset Alloys for sierra (15x7)?

Post by alien »

Hey guys

Been hunting around a few manufacturer websites, and looking through the bible and it seems very hard to get sierra stud pattern alloy rims in a 15x7 with at least a +15 offset..

I'm currently running Speedy Desert Rat 15x7's and clearance etc is spot on with these rims. Looking at tyres next year and when i do i want to go alloys at the same time to cut down some unsprung and rolling weight.

Any ideas? I see that the Kia rims fit sierra, but theres no info on what kind of offsets these rims run?

why do you want a + offset not a -. the speedy desert rims are great for a sierra

sorry typo.... the speedys are -15. I want alloys to drop some unsprung weight and reduce rolling weight (improved braking and economy).

i run eagle alloys 15x8 i got of eddy at 4wd usa in bayswater, not sure on the offset but its a bit more than the standard F100 rims.
He could get you just about anything from the u.s. if you dont mind waiting and dealing with him.

I run eagle alloys aswell in a 15 x 8 with -30 offset. You can get them in a 15 x 7, but they are 0 offset. They cost around $300 ea.

its a bit of a bugger - most offset rims come in 15x8 (although the offset usually doesnt counter the rim width increase)... i want to run 31's on 15x7's though to skinny the tyre just a touch. That and my engineering is done on 15x7's.

The other niggle i have is that the 15x7s in the right stud pattern with some offset look like ricer rims, rather than just a plain 4x4 rim like those eagle alloys... hehe

EDIT: spoken to eddy at 4wdusa and he can get the Eagles (058) in for $302ea in a 15x7 with 0 offset - which would mean me running a spacer i suppose... hrmmmm! THE QUEST CONTINUES!

just get 8's and fit some bigger tyres, seen your car at suzistore again today geez your wallet must be light your cars always there.
Looks like it could do with a set of 33's though your diffs must cop a hammering.

hahaha the zuks at suzistore this week cos the rear pinion angle was set wrong originally, so its being fixed up at their expense =)

but yes - the wallet is indeed light!!!

On the rims again - my speedy's weigh in at 10.8kgEA and the Eagles come in at 9.9kgEA... for the sake of the $$$ and 1kg difference, i now know its not worth it =)
