Does it have a marks adaptor? if so ring them they'll be able to tell you.

That will give you the info you need.

I could be wrong but from that site, you would be running a stock 40 transfer, being 1 of 2 variants?

If you put a pic up, there is some chance it can be identified or at least give you some idea....

You'd have to ring Marks to find out what the 1107 number is. The AA will be Advance Adapters. If its the stock 40 series transfer it will be either the early single piece case found only behind early 4 speeds or the later split transfer case found behind some 4 speeds and all 5 speeds. Pics will definately reveal all.

can't work out pics, front tailshaft snout comes off transfer with a gasket, front tail shaft has been cut and double cardan joint replaced with a uni.

This is the split transfer case with the back cover off:

If you can see that your transfer case comes apart like this one then you are running the later model split case. If it doesnt have the flanged halves like the one in the pic then its a single piece early transfer which is significantly weaker. Not sure what the model codes for the 2 transfers are off the top of my head.

Here's another pic of a split transfer with the back cover on:

champion effort, mine is early model one piece, have more trouble breaking unis than anything else. but i'd rather smash a uni than a diff or transfercase. just have to put up with it , v8 and front lokka = broken bits.
