From another forum. Update from Flamming Fabrications

Just spoke to waz and jimmy... They just had the last truck finish. Been a good day. Al Mac rolled his truck, but all good. Someone else (name not known) rolled 6 times and Jed (green truck as jimmy said) hit a tree today... something was damaged, but not sure what...
Hope this all makes sense as to what I heard...lol

What an awesome weekend! I was navi for Owen in Rough Rider.
It was well organised and well run event.

Big thumbs up to the event organisers & the marshals.

Well done to Owen for doing what he did!!

If you're not riding it rough you aren't riding it at all.

Presentation were not held due to bad weather and the stages being held up with recoveries but i would say that honours will go to Barry and Jimmy (roadrunner), great times all weekend and no breakages.

Well done boys Joe & Jason.

Tom 286, great footage of us, thanks mate, great to see

Andy and I are back from the weekend now. Had a great fun weekend, even though the car did not run real well. Have some issues with the batteries, i think it was a build up of things with mud in the alterator and some lose earths. We also blew the top plastic part of our raditator off on saturday so we got stuck down on ss4. Big thanks goes the the great blokes from HI-LINE automotive for trying to pull me out in his Landrover, and a big thanks to the PRIDE Automotive boys for getting us all the way off the stage, another thanks to the boys from the GQ8U team from Bendigo for towing us all the way back to camp. Also i would like to thank the people helping us off ss 9 on sunday when we run out of batteries.
A Big thanks to the help from Wes (Mad GQ), Paul and all his mates for the help keeping the car running and cleaning up the mess afterwards.
And a big thanks to Andy Fisher from MINI MONSTER AUTOMOTIVE for gettin the car to the comp and pulling the rope around all weekend.
Overall was a great comp, i think Friday night went a little pear shaped at the end, but was a great run comp and the marshels did a great job.

Was great to see more production cars out there this weekend too.

Barry (Road Runner) has to pull in 1st place.

Biders, Pete (Hoon), Benny, Darren (Krim) would make up the next placings Id say. Pup would prob be in 7th?

Would like to make sure ppl dont forget the colourful designs of mudflaps on friday. Some were great but nothing beats Petes towels...

A big thankyou to EVERYONE for piking it saturday night... The big bonfire session was a disgrace but there were a few who kept the party going...

I have no good photos to put up.

Paul from Patrolapart had a BIG whoopsie on saturday arvo but he and Navi (scotty?) are ok after a hospital check up. Lucky he owns a wreckers.

Al Mac had a slight roll, he said it wasnt much but enough to put the jeep in the shed.

Scott Allison put his 40 on its side last stage and DNF'd. Was a good try to get it in the finish box in reverse.

Marty got stuck for an hr or so in the bog hole and had to be pulled out, bogged the tractor too. eventually the army pulled him out I think.

And the green GQ from Shepp way got stuck somewhere in the trees.

With all the rain and the spectators getting stuck in the mud there was no time for Presentations but its pretty clear Barry wins.

Thanks Al Mac for your property, thanks Smiths for a good event.

40 something cars was a great line up. Lets see the same amount at round 4 guys!

Here is link to a few pics of the (aftermath) Team Patrolapart rollover on Saturday

http://s585.photobucket.com/albums/ss294/patrol_mad/

THANK YOU TO SO MANY WHO RUSHED TO HELP! It is due to those helping that Scott Gramlick (navi) got out.

But at the end of all the ifs and buts, both ARE OK; cuts, sore, battered and bruised. Suffering symptoms from taking water into lungs and stomach, but both ARE OK.

AND, the CAMS regs & CCDA enforced rules all competitors/vehicles must abide by proved their worth.

Millweld - your work proved a lifesaver - thanx Mill.

Thanks also to the MANY calls we have had today; your support is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Cheers, Robyn (grateful wife)
