Liftkit/suspension advice

Post by z_squared23 »

Hey guys,

I'm new to the technical aspect of 4x4 so any help is appreciated, so what i wana ask is, what would you guys recommend to lift my sierra up? I have a '92 model, but i don't wana spend a big amount, ive seen the ironman suspension/lift kit at this link http://www.4wd1.com/zook.htm and with a steering damper its a little over $1200 which seems pretty good, and i've contacted snake racing team and they charge $360 to install a kit (i might even try install it myself), but unfortunately i have no idea how much tyres will set me back, can anyone tell me how much i should spend on them please? i want some all terrain tyres for offroad and on road as it will be my everyday car aswell.

My aim is just a moderate kinda kit, as i will only go off road once every 2-4 weeks, oh and also my car squeaks every time i go over a hump or through a dip on the road, is that my bushes or suspension?

Thanks in advance for all the replies guys, much appreciated.

For new tyres depending on the size (30, 31's +) your looking about a grand give or take.
