94 Sierra

Hows it going boys?

I've been a member of this forum for a while but never posted due to myself not actually having a 4by, but thats gonna change soon (i hope)

On saturday I went down to Stockton dunes with my brother in-law and some of his work mates for a bit of a play on the beach and one of them had a sierra which he was selling, so i thought i would have a look.

It's a 94 WT, standard except for a weber and 29" Micky T ATR's, 271,000 k's (alot i know) and the bloke doesn't think it has had a rebuild, but it does run okay. The rocket cover gasket and sump gasket leak and the starter motor is a little funny.

The bonnet's faded and theres a little rust on a couple of the flares but besides that the exterior is straight.

Had a look underneath and the passanger swivel hub shows signs of leaking, where the gearbox selector goes into the gearbox looks like it is leaking and the transfer leaks. Besides the leaks there arn't any dints or indications that it has a hard life off road.

Interior is in relativly good nick and it comes with a hard top (don't know if is a factory one) and a soft top.

The bloke doesn't know how much its worth and neither do i really so i was wondering what price you blokes put on it?

Cheers
Sam

check the window surround and under the plastic door sills for rust... also lift the floor mats if it has any and check there too - if he's on the beach with it, and theres rust on the flares (which usually isnt a problem spot) chances are theres hidden rust... thats gonna affect the price a lot!

Yeah i will have to check that this weekend alien.

Its actually the first time he's been on the beach with it, he's from futher up the Hunter Valley near Singleton. The rust on the flare is just surface rust where a bit of the paint has chipped off.

I was more after a price that people would pay for it because there arn't many standard sierra's that you can compare the price to.
