Injector Pump Filters UPDATE

Post by johno »

Thows following the earlier thread will know of my problem not getting past 800 rpm. I was down all week with the flu so never got around to following the tips until today. As luck would have it local mechanic/machine operator dropped in and had a look.

"Start her up "he says, away we go. It wont rev. He reaches in and manually operates the throttle, bang problem solved.

It must have been sticking on the shaft eh? She runs and drives bloody good, now my last two problems ive got to solve.
1. Fuel filter light wont go out
2. Battery light wont go out

Hope the later is not the alternator.

thanks for the tips

fuel filter light is the water trap sensor under the filter - either there's water in the filter or the sensor/wiring has a short.

the alt light can be a few things, here's a couple of ideas to start with. (assume its 24V?)
excitation current not firing therefore check supply circuit, which is on same fuse/circuit as reverse light and 2 of the dash gauges. (found this out when reverse switch on gearbox shorted in river crossing and alt lost charge!)
No charge to batts - therefore alt needs looking at........

good luck
