Is that a chinese copy of a 35\40? Anyway there's a couple of ways to feed em water, on the block you usually have a bolt that passes in the water passage that's yor feed, then to drain you can t piece into your heater hose, but use proper lines not heater hose.

The other way around actually.

Feed from heater hos right after the thermostat and the drain goes into the block.

You can get all hoses made by Pirtek. Not very cheap though.

I can give some pics of oil feed/return as well if needed.

Why do think that water cooling is needed on a diesel turbo?

EGT's for diesel engines are far lower than the typical turbo petrol engines see.

Even if it has water ports, there is no need to connect water hoses to them when used on a diesel engine - unless there is something peculiar about the Nissan 4.2 diesel.

You might like to research further. Just my 2 cents worth.

Because in actual fact even on a petrol water cooling is not needed when the motor is on but helps remove heat after shut down reducing shaft scoring etc, for the pissy bit of money and mucking around its not worth not having, especially if like me you cant be fcuked waiting for your turbo to cool down every time you drive the car, I come home turn it off and walk in even with EGTs at 700 degrees and still no damage on any of my turbos.....

I figure if its there, you might as well use it. I think 700 degrees peak EGT is plenty of reason to have water plumbed up, as well as extending the life of the turbo bearings etc. All of the "normal" reasons.

most new garret gt series cores have the bearings pressed into a polymer sleeve and if you don't run water through them they fail.

What Are The Main Differances Between The Newer And Older Turbos (Standard GU Turbo) Ive Got One Off An 06 GU And I Dont See Any Water Inlets? Is That The Only Differance?

non intercooled gu had water cooling, intercooled did not.

If it doesn't have provision for water cooling, just hook it up as per a normal oil cooled/lubed turbo. Shouldn't have ANY dramas, and it will save you some time and $$$ fitting it up.

The two water hoses and fittings are only going to cost you around $150.
If the turbo has the ports for it, do it.
The water plumbing is easy anyway, might aswell hook it up.
