HiLux seat mounts

Post by Evski »

G'day, I just picked up some Autotechnica seats for my Ln106 HiLux. Trouble is they bolt up in the bottom of the seat, where as the standard rails bolt through the side. I used some angle and bolted it to the original mounting hole, and the new mount under the seat, but now the seat is too high. What have other people done to mount their seats? Is there a universal rail that wil fit, or is ther another model HiLux to steal a rail from? Thanks, I'm runing out of ideas.

Cool, do 60 series seats bolt through the bottom, not the sides like HiLux's? I need to fix this ASAP! Cheers

Sweet, there is a bloke with a 60 at work so I will have a look. You mentioned they were a bit of a hassle to fit, what was the issue and how did you fix it. Thanks heaps!

i have exactly the same seats in the same truck, i bought the rails for them (the adjustable slides) and got some 50mm angle and 50mm flat bar and welded it in the shape of a Z and adapted the factory hold down holes on floor and seat rail holes underneath seat.

Was nice and easy, but if there is some off another car that bolt on the thats probably easier... Looks good and would be heaps stronger than the factory one by a mile 10mm thick..

Great thanks for that. One option I have thought about is welding some box section to the rails and bolting the seat on to that. Will cjeck out the 60 series rails at lunch. Hopefully it will work out.
