4.7 V8 & Auto box

Post by Salty »

:?: Do any members with a Grand Cherokee limited and the above engine and box tow a van ?
If so what size and weight is the van ?
Is there a restriction on the towball weight ?
What is the fuel usage with and without the van ?
All responses appreciated as I am considering looking at some used models.
Regards Salty.

This pdf is pretty handy for comparing towing weights

http://www.romacaravans.com.au/specs/To ... 0Guide.pdf

Depends on year but 2948KG braked or 750kg unbraked

The oiler version is 3360kg

Aussie,
Many thanks for your response. As a caravan owner with experience in towing 2 types of van with my current tug I am aware of the legal towing guidelines.
The reason for my posting was to try and get first hand info from members on the above in order to decide whether it was suitable to me as a tug when I make a comparison with their data to my van and requirements !
Once again, many thanks.
Regards Salty.
