Yes it will but make sure you don't get caught out with the efi 3L gear.

Had a mate get the conversion cheap - it was the injection of a RB30.

Yep some of the VK Black motors were injected sixes. They went well too, I recall reading somewhere (maybe motor mag?) back in 1984 that they were the first factory 6 cyl commodore to reach 200 klicks around their test track.

The carby and EFI black motors had pretty much the same cylinder heads as the blue motor which was the first of the factory 12 ports.

All from memory though so don't quote me as I'm too old and damaged too many brain cells over the years.

the heads are the same but the black carby motor had air injection
get some grub screws fit them with locktite then grind the lump inside the port or not doesnt make that much difference
dont use bolts in the air injection ports as the manifold hits them

Ok, hopefully they have some there, im buying an engine minus all the starter alt, dizzy and such.

Use all my other gear on it from the blue motor.

While you have it apart, put a decent cam in it & flick the Holley for a Weber of a Falcon.

You wont be dissapointed, it wont go like a V8 but it will go nicely.
Don't ask me, ask them. I'm just runnin for my life myself.
Well they are all following you...
