Winding up IFS
I was hoping someone could help me out with some information. I have a 1999 Single Cab IFS 3rz hilux and my front end has sagged a little. I want to wind up the torsion bars to bring it back to level with the rear end till I can get the money to do a solid axle conversion. Could someone please help me out with which bolts to adjust to wind up the torsion bars, I've read quite a lot and I understand about not going up to high, and the way hilux bolts around the torsion bars apparently regularly break when doing this, and I just want to check to make sure which ones they are. (A picture would be awesome) Sorry for the noob question.

Gday ..ive played with a few hiluxes over the years..the bolt you need to tighten is the one on the inside of the rear of the torsion bars..it should have a lock nut on the top..loosen the locknut and crank the bolt ..when your on your back under the lux .look for the bar thet goes from your lower control arm towards the rear of your lux..there will be a bracket coming off the end with a bolt thru it..thats the bolt your looking for...do them both up evenly(count turns) and measure the height on both sides..make sure your on level ground (concrete )..drive it to let the suspension settle and measure it again..dont forget to retighten the lock nuts when your done...i hope this helps...
