Does anyone make 33x9.5x15 tyres?

I'm looking for some tall skinnies for my Landcruiser FJ45 ute.

They seem to be a popular size in America, but I can't find any here.

Any ideas? Thanks.

BFG used to do the muddies and at's in that size.
Kelly also did/do that size.
BFG still do 33/10.5/15 thats also a good option.
You wont regret going to the tall skinny tyre .

235/85-16 aint really a 33, is it?

but i supose most tyres labelled as 33's are'nt even 33's.

8.25 R 16 are usually about 34 inch in diameter and can be had in some good tread patterns.

Maxxis make a 255/85R16 Bighorn...

I've got a 33x9.5R15 BFG MT as a spare for my zook. Not sure that they are made any more.

It's 50% worn and .6" shorter than my 34/10.5-15 Swamper LTB.

There is the 255/85-16 which is about 33.3x10-16.

Super Swampers do a 34x9.5x15 but good luck getting them here in aussie land!

I would say be carefull running the 33x9.5's BFG. I had them on my old MQ shortie years ago and I ended up wearing out the sidewall more then the tread! They seemed to be too tall for the width and would roll on the rim a bit.

Depends on the weight of the car and how you drive it but i guess.

I would agree with this, ran them on my 60 series years back, tall but too skinny, IMO a wider tyre would be a better option.

Thanks for the help guys. I guess I'll be spending another small fortune on 16" rims and 255/85-16 tyres.

OK, I've decided to save for the 255/85x16's.
I've found the Cooper ST, BFG A/T and a brand called Eldorardo.

Does anyone know who else makes 255/85x16's? i'm after a mid-range tyre, not super expensive as the truck is not fast and won't do really high mileage.

I assume this size can be fitted to standard 7.5x16 Toyota steel split rims?

I wish there was a website that listed all manufacturers and all sizes. Even the bloody tyre shops don't know!

if you go to each manufacturer site, they list the Recommended rim for the tyre size on there.
