My old mans diesel one gets around 9ltrs/100 round down and down to 8ltr/100 on the highway.

Pulls like a train even with a rallycar on a tandem behind it!

Pulls the oldies Jayco van around the country fantastic.

Great motor.

only ever had one hickup when it did a turbo on an outback trip but was replaced under warranty.

dunno about petrol ones though.

Terracan is a reskinned NL pajero . look at some of the mitsu stuff, should be very comperable.

yup rebadged NL GLS

my V6 petty in stock form got around 12L/100 around town & around 9-10L/100 on the highway
now with 4" lift & 32" muddies the figures have gone up to around 13-14l/100 around town & 11-12 on the highway
diesel terrys have been known to have fuel pump failures & some have even had a whine from the rear diff
petrol terracans are rare compared to the diesel
there has been no report of the petrol models having any problems
though most terracans do have the tendencies to have the LH steering idler arm fail as this is a weak point

although my petrol model uses a bit more juice than the diesel it pulls trailers a lot better & has lots more grunt than the diesel
most of the time I get the timing right when the traffic lights turn green & I can leave all the other traffic miles behind.
I would never trade my auto terry as it's the perfect daily driver/weekend/touring rig
