Those "plates" are very cheap so just go and buy one don't screw around, the barb is a bad idea we're talkin 60+ psi 600+ degrees, plus that fitting often has a restrictor effect depending if plain or roller bearing so you can't just slap one on, oil resistant rubber hose won't work on a turbo carrying oil under pressuere all day everyday, there's a reason why braided stainless\teflon inner is expensive....it works and you won't burn your car down trying to save $100 for the real thing.
I would reccomend using the right hose. Older turbo kits used a steel plate with hydraulic tube silver soldered in that had a barb at the other end. This got the hose away from the turbine heat. Problem is the hose wears/rots at the barb/hose clamp the you end up pumping your sump oil onto evrything.
i recommend you go to your local enzed shop. the fittings you will require are $7.50 each and they can make your lines up while u wait get a peice of plain wire about 9 gauge and bend it to shape and cut to length as a template. and take it to them. you can either use braided or plain steel hosing..or plain and flexi id use plain hosing with a flexi join as its less likely to cause you problems down the line.
