lets go for another alternative answer!

petrol are 4.30 or 4.56, possibly the soft tops are the 4.3 but I can't confirm that 100%

all of the turbo diesels I have seen are 4.875

So Going by this my Bundy RJ70RV 22R petrol would be 4.8's or 4.3's??

The build date is 04/1985

I would jack the car up and do the Tailshaft turn thing but Im about 4hours drive from it and wont be back there for a month!

Some help would be great, if anyone knows.

Engine; 4-cylinder 2.4 litre 22R, petrol engine.

Gearbox; 5-speed manual and is the same as the Toyota Hilux G52 5-speed. The gear ratios are as follows;

1st 3.928:1, 2nd 2.333:1, 3rd 1.451:1, 4th 1:1. 5th .851:1, reverse 4.743:1

Transfer Case; The transfer case is the same as the Toyota Land Cruiser split transfer case and is part time 4WD with a 34mm idler shaft and a low range ratio of 2.276:1.

Differential; The differential ring and pinion tooth count is 43/10 giving a ratio of 4.3:1.

The petrol is 4.3 std

I changed mine to 4.8 to run 33's on my Bundy got the Gear sets From Jmac enginerring in eastern creek Sydney.

Made the Bundy go like a rocket with the 33's and a lot better fuel econ.
