Clutch on Suzuki Vitara Wagon - Help!!

Post by Suzuki Jan »

I have just bought a 1993 Suzuki Vitara Wagon and the clutch is really hard. I was wondering whether this is normal on these cars? The bottom of my foot aches after awhile of driving around. Can it be fixed?

Have a look where the clutch cable bolts to the firewall in the engine bay. Look if it has a crack around the cable.

If there is no crack, replace the cable. They get stiff and result in a very heavy clutch pedal.

The other reason could be that the clutch is severely worn. But, you'd notice slippage if that was the case.

Mine has a buggered cable after being submerged in gloop multiple times AND a cracked firewall so my left leg is about twice the size of my right one haha.
