Question from a new member

Post by Colli.450 »

Hi Guys,

Been lurking around and learning for a while here, Used to own a 96 Hilux Dual cab with 2.8, Great car, 2 inch lift all terrains etc, and one paratus seat. Sold it once I got a work car, but now looking for a new 4WD

I am looking at a mates landcruiser, 91 Model, twin lockers, compressor, ARB bar, Oh and a 6.2 Chev V8 Diesel just to top it off.

I have a few questions.

As this truck still runs the toyota radiator, can something such as twin AU thermos be run to help keep it cool (it gets a little hot in summer)

Can a new 76 Series bonnet be fitted to it? It will allow for a little more hot air to escape.

Will a 80 series center console fit?

Cost wise, how dear is it to run 33's to 35's.

My main aim for this truck would be a weekend tourer, carry my bikes around, Pulling the ski boat, possibly a horse float and be used to get me around daily.

the ute has been mainly used as a service/farm ute, as they run a contract harvesting business.

What would be a good price for this truck, They want $14,000.

Am I wasting my time?

And thats about it really, any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Sam

with a 6.2 in it $14g is not too dear, as far as the bonnet and console anything can be made to fit, but neither will bolt straight on.

i doubt the 6.2 would notice the difference between 33s and 35s, they are a fantastic motor
