Replacement LED rear lights?

Post by alien »

Anyone sourced replacement rear LEDs for their zuk? ie: fits standard bumper???

Been through some parts books but not finding much at all!

Im sick of filling them with mud and getting short bulb life / corrosion and dont want to spend money on a custom rear bumper (not worth it for just some lights).

I just bolted some LED lights vertically to the body on the rear quarters.
If you want them in the standard bumper, B4T has done it by securing some alloy plate behind where the lights go in the bumper, then screwing some LED lights to that. It doesnt fill the hole but.

I got the individual slime line ones and mounted them in the rear quarters.

273x92mm - wont fit... zuk lights are 317x82 from memory?

Back to LED bulbs - cant seem to find any of those either.

average price on a set of tail lamps is around $150+ too - so ill stick to replacing bulbs now and then =) haha

ive played around with this idea but soon realized that no matter what you come up with it wont look as good as a standard bumper. some smart bloke got paid a fair slab of money to come up with it; its light weight and it hides the chassis. what more could you want?
put some sealant around it and save yourself some time and money.

i pretty much came to the same conclusion =) too hard / too expensive for just some tail lights... money better spent on fuel for driving it!
