Mike,

Yeah..... nothing too much to report.. After slugging my silverstones onto new alloys we had major issues balancing them. On my old paj there was no issues at all, but this new one did not like em one bit. It drove worse than the swampers I used to have. They are now in the shed and I scored at set of 255/85/16 BFG's that i put on the stock alloys. They measure nearly 34" in height and are a treat. Will eventually drop a set of simexs i think onto the other alloys for weekenders.

Just got my body lift blocks made last week so that will be done soon. Got a set of custom rock slider/sill bars being made but waiting on the body lift install so they can be fitted.

Because I have been flat out with house renos, the paj is used on a daily basis so I have been pretty slack. My paj account is running a little low of funds at present but hopefully can have it all finished before easter...

I am now going to start the search for the lockers now. Frank, do you have shanes number so I can call him re the rear locker?? Also, how do you find the front detroit? Are their any more available? I am not sure if I can wait for arb to get the production happening. I will get one when it happens but wouldnt mind something until then.

If running a rear locker with 4.9's, will I be able to install a front detriot with these ratios?

Bloody 3.5L paj's.... Why did I buy one again???!!!!!

Hi Grant, Shane - 0411 755 412 he is in Belmont I think.
For the Detroits call Andrew at Geelong Differentials (03) 5278 1132 tell him I sent ya. What you can do is if you find a 4.90 front diff out of a 2.8TDI at a wreckers you can send it to him and he will send it back with a Detroit installed. Cost would be about the same as an ARB. The 4.90 is ok with a Detroit in the front.
New from Mitsu they are $600-700. Part no is MR124860 for front 4.90 crownwheel & pinion set.
Awesome - 3.5 V6, auto, 35" Simex's, 4.90's, front Detroit, factory rear locker etc. Just need to get you those crawler gears :D

Frank.

Progress report:

Currently installing body lift. Hopefully have it finished tomorrow. i am still not 100% convinced that the front detriot is the best solution... so its on the back burner for the time being. Sourced factory rear locker but hopefully shane can hook me up as I am keen for the 4.9. (thanks frank)

major concern is having everything finished in time for easter. Going to LCMP for 5 days.... Hopefully should see few of you boys there too..aka mike and NJswb...

I've sent of a cheque for t/c gears, so if all goes well I may have a new low range to try by then. Hopefully I'll have a body lift by then too :D , so it'll look nice and poxy on 31s

When is easter? I haven't seen dates.

Cheers,

Scott

Best thing about it being on the drivers side is that there was no mod needed for the body lift... no extension, no cutting the plastic console or anything.... The most weird thing is it hates going into 4wd when its in "D". 50% of the time i have to use "N" to flick to 4..
