b&m shifter on gq auto

Post by Quadcamshorty »

hey,

I am looking at going auto, can you use a b&m style shifter with the gq box.

I had a look and they only seem to support US style g/boxes.

Any info would be appreciated.

there is no reason why it wont work, you may have to change the length of the bracket on the box to get the shifter to line up properly in each gear.
you will have to wire up a new power/OD switch on the shifter aswell..

best use the factory shifter, cheaper, much neater and it all bolts in.

Pretty sure Birdy (one of the OnTrack cars) has an aftermarket shifter fitted to the GQ 4spd.
