Maruti colour code

Post by Mr Emu »

Howdy

I have a 93 maruti 1 litre ute. Its a creamy colour but on the plate inside the engine bay it has no colour code stamped or written on the plate. I think they only came out in a few colours, would anyone know what colour it is or know the colour code. Its in super good nick and would like to touch up a few little bits.

Thanks Ian

Go to a auto paint store and get them to match it. Generally on older cars the paint has faded enough to make the original colour on the plate look completely wrong.

I've got a Maruti brochure which lists available colours as being white, red or beige. I've also got a Sierra 'body colour' chart which gives the colour code for superior white as being 26U but this chart would relate to Japanese produced Sierras. I'm not sure if the Indian (Maruti) and Japanese whites are the same, but this could be a start.

I might give the auto paint store a crack. I have a swb sierra, its white and the colour code for that is 26U. Its definately more of a creamy, off white colour. Might be the beige one. Thanks for your help
