i think a ute chop has to be blue plated if thats what u use as a comp car in trophy class
get to slacks creek tonight for meeting you can find out more
oh still havent got this quote thing worked out. last post was in regards to the question asked by mosko111. my understanding is body swaps arent allowed, unless u get individually constructed vehicle certification. which is nigh on impossible now days.
yes. and an external kill switch. its all there in the rules and regs, but window nets, external kill switch and fire extinguisher are the main ones u gotta sort out. well worth the effort though, is a good fun event

mq ute chop was supposed to be for competing but i can not find anyone to do mod plate for it
so the gq has ended up copin a flogin
ok .Got the kill switch done and on the head board of the tray.what else do i have to do to the switch..because you are going to be hard pressed to turn it if the car is moving(u will get run over)
do we need to have a hole in the key and have wire or rope thru it?
oh and by the way.this is a good idea but friggin sucks when i take the car to the shops.have to pull the key out so no one takes the key. and it resets my stereo and trip and clock...very annoying

ha, yeah i know, can be frustrating. may just have to check the rules on placement, as long as its towards the side of the tray, not in the centre, should be alright. i set up the kill switch under the hood, then went to a speed shop n got a pull wire and handle that can mount on the guard, grill tray, whatever, and pull the switch remotely. worst can happen then is someone pulls it n i gotta pop the hood n switch it on again, but at least they cant take the handle. if youve already got it set up towards the middle of the tray, do wot u said, get a pull wire, run it through they key n set up a little bracket front side of you tray, so it can be pulled easily from the side of the car....... n i think u have to have a blue triangle sticker next to or under it, showing where it is.
hey red24, its 33's in trophy im afraid, and as for the entry forms, u can pay on the day, but u sometimes get a deal wit park entry if u prepay. check their website for entry forms, think there's a fax number there to send it to otherwise there's numbers there for people u can get the info from

the kill switch is to be operational from outside of the vehicle, not on top of the vehicle. I would suggest putting a rip cord on it.

Its all good.. its on the outside near the edge of the tray at the head board.

33" is the tyre limit for trophy class, however, trucks who are entering into mod classwhere 35" is the size limit will be allowed to run the trophy class tracks last and also accrue no points, this is for this round only, and tyre size limits will revert bact to normal rules for next year's comps
BATTERY ISOLATORS, are best located on the front or rear of the vehicle, as to allow easy access in the event of a roll over, ie side mount is a bit hard to get to if you roll on the side you fit it to
We have arranged for the Urbanville service station to stay open till 9pm on friday night, this is the last fuel stop before emu creek ( aprox 40 min from emu) they will also have hot food available till 8pm.their ph # is 02 6634 1211, if you are running late, call ahead, they may stay open later.
For vehicles traveling to emu creek be aware of numerious bridge works after woodenbong
