You must be smoking some good stuff to have gone on such a long "holiday"... Rover (cars) shut their doors several years ago...

Landrover and Jaguar were sold to Tata a while back - still going fine.

 got some sand "down there" have you :D

There are at least 3 "rovers" in the 4x4 world:

Rover Park

The Rover Car company

The Landrover company - which split from the rover car company over 20 years ago...

So the answer is still no. The Land Rover company split over 20 years ago and The Rover company is still going. And if nothing has happened yet Rover Park is still 4 sale.

wiki says that rover car comp is effectivly dormant. so id say that yes, they have 'shut up shop' so to speak for the time being. the company is making no cars, therfore it is not 'goin strong'

landrover, still going strong.

rover park, still going strong.

rover scouts, still going strong :D

so, we still dont know the answer to your question. what 'rover' are you talking about?

Rover wouldnt be able to just 'shut the doors' and close up.

If their factory is built like their cars, someone would have to 'SLAM' the doors
