MIGHTY PISTON POWER.
Hi had the Waeco, geez i hated that thing, the only thing it was good for was teaching me how much i now appreciate my two Engels,
They run a differant compressor than the engel it should be a danfros motor, where as the engel runs the swing motor,
one of the reasons they say there better than the engel is they wont completly flatten your battery, and thats true for a reason so you dont burn the motor out due to low current draw,
where as the engel motor just gets slower and slower till the battery flatterns but has no effect to the motor in the engel,
the danfros compressor nevertheless is good but has that saftey factory built in so it doesnt damage the engine, but as soon as current gets low it trips out the motor and goes into saftey mode and stops cooling, one other thing if it isnt recieving the right current under heavy load usually when its turned up flat out is ussually due to running to small of amperage wire to your plug, believe it or not 8mm wire will often also cure the problem, try that you might be supprised,
or if all else fails buy a en????????

Yes icrawl is also right, test it with the 240 adaptor, if the fridge runs perfectly which i expect it will, this ussually means a lack off current when under the 12v conditions and is likely whats effecting the unit,
But how long can you struggle under these conditions never really knowing weather the beer is going to be hot or cold, i suppose its just like a luky dipp???????? through a bag of ice in just top be safe, although an esky would probably do the same thing, lol
Sorry thats from years of sh@##%t i copped of my mates when i owned a waeco

Have you taken it back to Waeco?
Do you have the proper wiring setup in your vehicle? Does it also do this when run on mains power? Is the emergency red switch on the back turned on or off?
what its doing is ull fill it up and it will cool down fine 1nce the pump disengages ur guess is as good as mine when it will turn back on, its like a women tempermental
MIGHTY PISTON POWER.
do u get the fridge cold on 240v before u put it in car if not u are using all the battery power to get the thing to a cold temp . What i do with mine is run it on 240 to get it to the temp i want then put it in car and the battery will keep it at that temp . The fridge only runs after opening it so it can cool the hot air that gets in
