dilema with susp-tyres

Post by big_fyt »

ok i want to chcuk a 2in body lift on my hilux and a 2 inch suspension lift if i were to add in the 2inch extended shackles is that going to be

to big and cause alot of money problems for me to correct angles and such

i was going to run 33" tyres but if 35" arnt to much more trouble and should definatly fit under 6" of lift correct? however i have heard that the cv's must be upgraded how much does this ruffly cost?

i have a 97 hilux single cab.

i dont know about your model but my oldschool lux i have can run 33's with only a 2''spring lift.they only JUST scrub on the back of the inner guard.hardly even notieable unless you listen carefully

i find a good set of 33's will do just as well as a set of 35's in some cases and you dont put so much stress on your driveline components.thats my 2c.

i think his name is 'weiner' on here and he only runs 2'' spring 2'' shackles and runs 35's with minor scrubbing at flex..

but body lift would stop the scrubbing but you dont want a hilux to high as they fall over pretty easy..ive put mine over already and it wasnt that bad..

cheers..smiley..
