hey building up a 40yea yea like every 1 else but this will be different!! haha, well ive decided on 60series suspension (yes i have the right mounts) and a 60box and prob a set of diffs for later down the track, but the prob is i have a 60 now that ive cut down to a ute, so i have the parts, but is it worth while stripping it or selling it and buying new parts?? parts seem pretty cheap but what's you thoughts?? any help would be gr8,

That's what I would be looking at first plus the bits from the 60 that you currently have you know the condition & how they have been treated. You sell it off & buy somebody elses parts & you don't know the history. Seems a no brainer to me unless of course you have flogged the 60 driveline & it is about to explode :finger:

yea i have thought about that option, but have just put a lot of work into building up my 40 chassis, but putting 84modle suspension mount and the gear box crossmember into it, just seems a waste, but it definatly is an option, any ideas about measuring the body mounts on to the 60 (for the 40 tub), should i keep the same distance from the front member as the 40 series chassis?? know of any 1 who has done this???
