I believe your firewall could benefit from a few taps with a gentle persuader.

you can slot the engine mounts a little to move the engine forward a tad.

BFH on the firewall , but might pay to check how much clearance their is between the firewall and internal heater unit before you start bashing.. :?

Then hope you never need to get the dizzy cap off :bad-words:

Its the 1.3L chassis.
I have used the sierra mounts that connect to the body and the engine but used the commodore rubber bit in between which wouldn't change the position of the engine backwards and forward.

might have to give it a bit of a hit- I'll check how much room I have with the heater core..

Unless someone wants to make me a right angle adaptor with the g13a cam/right angle and g13b dizzy?!@

So in that pic is the gearbox at its final mounting position? Ie the gearbox mount is aligned with the chassie?

I just found out the gearbox mount was completely broken which means the gearbox dropped at the back which brought the top of the engine close to the firewall. I pulled the engine out and banged the firewall a little bit but it still looks stock. Now I have a fair bit of room. Cheers
