Anyone know what sort of weight a basic tube winch bar is? If not built too overkill?

light enuf to fit by myself, heavy enuf to stand up to that tree i hit, and that pajero i pushed off a rock, and that navara i roll started, and that lump of solid earth that hit me, and that courier i pushed outa the way of the fuel pump, and that pulsar that was parked in the way....

(the courier was a mates, and the pulsar was mine, so it wasnt road rage :P )

With winch w/steel cable on it I can pick my bar up myself, not too sure on a weight though.

Would love to make one but not sure on how it'd look. My problem is the intercooler piping on the passenger side runs fairly low on the edge, making the lower wing hard to design without sticking forward. You can't see it behind the TJM bar, but I don't think a winch will fit in it because of the cooler itself....

I could always revise the pipe path a bit, but clearances are tight as is... Damn custom trucks...

right so you have fitted a body lift and the current bull bar doesn't line up?

If that is the case then yes just do as your dad said.

What possible benefit are you going to gain by going a tube bar?

Strength and extra clearance. I made mine to look like a standard bar as I didn't want it to stand out but ARB/TJM bars bend too easy if you give them a hard time.
