just got back from a 4700k trip in our 4.5l wagon and it seems to have developed a front engine seal leak ive yet to clean it up to check but i think thats were its coming from so can anyone tell me whats involved in fixing it
also before we went we had a wheel alignment done and the guy said that he couldnt get it right and it would need to be "shimmed" to be able to get a proper wheel alignment done now ive heard about shims in other types of applications ie lsd diffs and on rear diffs but whats the with shimming the front for wheel alignment
all info would be great
cheers

The only thing I can think of to shim would be your king pins? for wheel alignment. Don't know about your seal though.
