Kia Sportage

Post by Box Feroza »

Hey guys,

just picked up a Kia Sportage 2001 really clean with a blown head gasket.

Needed something cheep and a bit bigger than my Feroza.
I want to lift it up tp get my 31x10.5 under it.
Any suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

G,Day

try these sites.

You will need minimum 4inch of lift to fit the 31's. Tghe 4x4 wire site is a wealth of information for your Sportage.

Thanks for that. The sites are great. If I get the 3 inch suspension lift could I go with the lower of the body lifts? I wish a 4 inch suspension kit was available.

Either way it has to be done. Its going to be funny.
Thanks for the info.
I am ripping the head off tommorow. I hope the thing is on the road asap.

You should be able to. You may need a bit of front bumper and guard trimming adjustment.

Your gearing could be badly affected by runnin the 31's. Have you considered going 30's.

I would go with 30's but I have a brand new set of 31's on new rims from my other 4x4. It did make a difference to gearing however most of my off road work is mud so not much lost there.
Got the head of yesterday. Shit job at home. I was actually surprised how well the kia is put together.
Thanks for your help
Cheers
