Gudge,

Doesnt matter i'm not going to let you have it. You already have more in suspension than my ute is worth - not fair if you get my winch as well. lol

how did you go with the freespool?

did you end up buying a bigger motor?

the mount with the 4 holes for the winch was already part of the bar but the bottom two were hidden.
i cut the bottom panel to expose thes two holes.
added a RHS for strength
added the bottom checkerplate for strength
cut the bottom inside section of the grill
cut the top panel of the bar to clear the winch motor
bent the power steering cooler out of the way
that was about it i think [but it was several years ago]

thanks big red, that looks a bit easier than the way i was thinking. and looks very neat aswell. and welchy my freespool drama has been sorted, winch is returning to its original owner for a refund. so now back to plan A again. finding a decent high mount and having it fully running in 36 days (and counting) . i love well planned ideas

Gudge,

there was one for sale on here about a week ago.

Might have to use mine yet.

You may run into trouble with the newer GUs, as they have a different crossmember at the front of the chassis. My 04 Ute has the bigger crossmember.
