Fj40 handbreak

Post by danbec40 »

G'day all, i'm wanting some advice on a 1975 fj40 hand brake setup. I've recently put a 5 speed from a 60 series in the 40. The handbrake was on the rear of the old 4 speed but now that no longer exists. Is there a set up available to put the hand brake on the rear diff some how or do i need to get a hold of a later model diff?

I've got a front and rear diff out of my BJ42 which i just took out. Front is disc break and rear had the hand break cable on it. I'm doing a spring over on 60s diffs so dont really need em any more. Havnt thought too much about selling em but if ya keen pm me and make an offer. I've also got a 40s power steer box as i'm now using 60s set up...
