Hi Guys, have read all the info via search and have a question. I currently have a 75 FJ40 and have put the steering column, shaft and power steer box that bolts to the original manual steering box location out of a BJ40 in it to gain its power steer. The question I have is that I want to now put in a 60 series steer box in instead and loose all the associated old school steering arms that come with the original fj40 steer arrangement.
Do I need to put in a 55 series steering colum and shaft or will the shorter BJ40 one suite? I just want to go to the wreckers and get everything in one go, and not run into dramas.
Cheers

Re: FJ40 Power Steer Again
the bj40 one will not suit. you need one with an intermediate shaft/splined end, not a rag joint.Mudrat wrote:Hi Guys, have read all the info via search and have a question.
