plumbing up snorkel

Post by GU-ish »

hey all
changing my standard nissan snorkal to a stainless one.
wondering how people have plumbed it up once in the gaurd?

i dnt wish to use wat is already there from the standard one, as i have seen it before and didnt like it + i want a good join onto the airbox unlike the standard nissan one.

i assume flexi hose? and was wondering if anyone has used solid pipe in there with rubber joins?

thanks
chris.

Thanks GQ351 - where did you find a snorkel head with a neck that fits a 4" tube? All I've been able to find so far are the massive heads for big rigs with 6"+ necks or the ones from Safari with the skinny 2.5" necks.

Donaldson make the 4" heads/rams. I am fabricating mine at the mo and the 304SS 4" pipe's wall thickness is 1.6mm. even thats $65.00 a meter!

Donaldson also do the water seperator valves for the airbox and all the elbows.

good luck

Thanks. Have sent Coburg truck parts an email. I do have a Donaldson catalog, but all of their air ram snorkel heads that are listed have 6" or greater inlet diamters.
