Brake proportional valve extention

Post by trump »

Guys have asked around local suppliers to why the need to lower the brake proportional valve at rear of a GQ. SO far responses have been vague.

What’s the reason, is the length its extended proportional to the lift that you fit.

Looking at lifting my truck and trying to do as much home work as I can.

Before anyone asked I have searched with no luck.

Cheers

Yes, the BPV extension is supposed to be equivalent to your suspension lift, but not a whole lot of people actually do this. Most people just wind up the adjuster so there is plenty of pressure getting to the rear brakes.

Hi guys,

I have just fitted one of these to a 5" lift, have to say i laid under the GQ and spent a bit of time trying to figure out HOW MUCH tension i should be putting on the spring?????

Anyone got an idea how i should actually set this up?? i basically grabbed middle ground and loaded just a little tension onto the spring.

Guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers guys
